NATO allies should adhere to a fundamental position to combat terrorism and rejection of sanctions against each other.
This was stated by the Foreign Ministry of Turkey Hakan Fidan, commenting on the prospects for Sweden entry into the North Atlantic Alliance.
He noted that Sweden took steps to change the legislation in the fight against terrorism. “However, in Ankara they expect practical steps from Stockholm on the implementation of these amendments,” Fidan explained.
The minister added that the Turkish side hopes for the strict execution of all points of the Tripartite Memorandum Turkey-Shvesty-Finland.
