A failure in the operation of devices using the Windows operating system is not related to cyber attacks.
This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey Abdulkadir Uralogl at a press conference in the National Marine Department of Marine Safety in the Marmareglisi area in the Province of Tekirdag.

According to Uralogl, the failure occurred in the systems of institutions and organizations using the product from the supplier of cybersecurity services Crowdstrike.
The minister noted that all response groups to cyberincents (SOME) in Turkey have already received relevant instructions.
A round -the -clock work is carried out to ensure the protection of cyberspace using domestic products, the head of the department assured.
“We immediately contacted institutions about systems that were damaged or affected. I can say that in some institutions, thanks to timely intervention, it was possible to eliminate a significant part of the violations,” the uraologla noted, suggesting that within several hours the negative consequences of the situation for citizens will be eliminated.
According to the minister, in order to avoid a repetition of such situations, all necessary measures have been taken. “We maintain contact with the relevant institutions, the private sector and the public in the country. The system will resume the functioning as soon as possible. I especially want to emphasize that we are not talking about cyber attacks,” the head of the department added.
