Ankara: US Decision Was Criticized To Extend Year Of Decree In Relation To Syria

The official representative of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs onchy Kecheli sharply criticized the US decision to extend the Decree No. 13894 introduced in relation to Syria for another year.

According to Kecheli, this decision “does not correspond to the real situation in the field.”

“Instead of repeating such biased actions, supporting the Turkish policy aimed at maintaining the territorial integrity and political unity of Syria, will help strengthen regional stability,” he stressed.

The United States first imposed on Decree No. 13894 in 2019 in connection with the situation in Syria. The sanctions imposed within the framework of this decree are directed against numerous supporters of the Syrian regime, who impede the political settlement of the Syrian conflict, commit human rights violations or support the regime.
