The command staff of the Armenian Armed Forces joined the statement of the now former head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan and confirmed the earlier assessments of the situation in the country. The commanders, following Gasparyan’s message on Wednesday, made a joint statement, which was published on the Facebook page of the head of the information department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Samvel Asatryan, Sputnik-Armenia reports.
The statement notes that the officers share Gasparyan’s position on the need to resign Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and hold early parliamentary elections.
Generals note that “only people capable of assessing and analyzing can understand their hardships and the tests they have passed.”
At the same time, they “salute” Gasparyan’s call to continue serving for the good of the army, country and people.
Let us remind you that Gasparyan said in his message that he applied to the Administrative Court in order to challenge the decision of the prime minister to remove him from his post. He also appealed to generals, officers and soldiers, urging them to continue serving the country and people.
