Azerbaijani food security agency continues to monitor food products imported into the country. In the course of the relevant inspections, a discrepancy was found in a number of biologically active food additives (BAD) imported to the country in January-October 2021. This was reported by HAQQIN.AZ in the press service of the APB.
According to the report, the samples taken during inspections were presented to the appropriate laboratory of the Institute for Food Security of Azerbaijan. As a result of the research, it turned out that in the batches of imported products there is a discrepancy, and the product is not suitable for the use of consumers, and therefore the appropriate measures were taken in the framework of the legislation requirements.
Over the past period, the discrepancy was detected in the following biologically active food additives:
1. Imported from Turkey by Healthy Body LLC Bad Bud (as part of Mafanmm and Bçqb) – 3,000 units were destroyed.
2. Imported from Romania by Jala Pharma LLC Bad Bat (Lead (PB), Cadmium (CD) due to non-compliance with the requirements of technical and regulatory acts) – 1,000 pieces were destroyed.
3. Imported from Turkey by an individual by an individual Abbasy Ilkin Elkhan Oglu Bad batch (due to inconsistencies in the product packaging) – 2,500 pieces are returned to the exporting country.
4. Imported from Turkey by LLC Azəri Med Party Bad (due to non-compliance with organoleptic indicators) – 23424 pieces returned to the country-ecoporter.
5. Mikaila Oglu Elashad, imported from Turkey by Fatullava Elshad (due to inconsistency with the requirements of technical and regulatory acts) – 4,915 pieces are returned to the country-exporter.
Azerbaijani food security agency continues consistent activities towards protecting public health and ensure food safety. Illegal actions will continue to resolutely stop.
