Azerbaijan’s Ombudsman apparatus commented on marriage information with a minor girl in the village of Tesse Alvadi Masallinsky district of Azerbaijan.
According to the head of the department for the protection of the rights of children, the Ombudsman Nigar Agayev said that the organization was investigating the dissemination of information on the marriage of a minor girl in the village of Masallinsky district.
“The question was discussed with the executive authority of the Masallysky district, Masally district police department and the district education department,” she said.
The Ombudsman’s apparatus also conducted an educational conversation with the members of the girl’s family, explained them their rights, responsibilities, as well as the consequences of an early marriage, stressing the importance of continuing the education of the child.
