The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed the acting Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko.
“The government appointed Igor Klimenko as Deputy Minister of the Interior – the head of the National Police of Ukraine. And he entrusted him with the performance of the duties of the Minister of Internal Affairs,” wrote Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in the Telegram channel.
According to the prime minister, after discussing with the parliament, there will be a submission for the appointment of a new head of the department.
“The Ministry of the Interior is one of the key links in the security of our country, so the necessary protocols are involved in order to maintain controllability with all processes,” Schmygal summed up.
