The Chairman of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AQTA) Goshgar Tahmazli met with the Minister of the Agricultural and Forestry of Turkey Vakhid Kirishchi. The fraternal country was represented by a large delegation, including the chairman of the Commission of the Great National Assembly of Turkey for rural, forestry and rural affairs, Yunus Kylych and director of the Main Directorate of the European Union and Foreign Affairs Akhmet Volkan Gungoren.

He expressed confidence that the meeting will contribute to the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries. Congratulating Vakhid Kirishchi on the appointment, the chairman of AQTA noted that this appointment will open a new stage in the development of relations.
Having thanked for the warm welcome and congratulations, the Turkish minister expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of relations between our countries in all areas at the brotherhood level. Regarding the issues of further cooperation and relations, Vakhid Kirishchi emphasized that joint partnership in the field of food security, the health of animals and plants will further expand.
Then, at the meeting, the possibilities of cooperation in a number of new directions were considered. The exchange of views on the further expansion of bilateral relations and the exchange of experience in areas representing mutual interest took place. The parties discussed the possibilities of exchangeing experience in the field of improvement, optimization, modernization of laboratories, risk assessment for food safety, organizing trainings on the use of advanced practices of safe use of pesticides and other issues.
The meeting discussed the implementation of the bilateral intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of food security, as well as agreements in the field of protection and quarantine of plants. It was emphasized that work in this direction is expanding.
