AQTA chairman met with tobacco wagons

The management of the food security agency (AQTA) held a video conference with manufacturers and exporters of tobacco products.

During the meeting, AQTA Chairman Goshgar Takhmazly noted that as a result of measures taken in recent years in the field of plant health in our country, as well as the measures of systematic support provided by the state to entrepreneurs, along with other directions, the tobacco industry is also developing. It is noted that the agency’s experts continue to regularly monitor tobacco farms and provide comprehensive methodological assistance to business in connection with the revealed inconsistencies.

The meeting noted that the laboratories of the Azerbaijani Food Safety Institute conducted tests in accordance with the requirements of the countries of tobacco products, and the support of entrepreneurs in this direction will continue.

The parties exchanged views on the upcoming tasks in the field of production and export of tobacco, export diversification, goals and prospects in this direction. Entrepreneurs involved in the production and export of tobacco talked about the problems they face, the current situation in tobacco production and shared their opinions on a number of questions.

At the end, it was stated that such meetings that ensure direct communication with entrepreneurs will continue and will be taken by appropriate measures to resolve the raised issues.
