Azerbaijani Food Safety Agency (AQTA) discovered a number of inconsistencies related to the translation companies into Azerbaijani information on labels and nutritional names brought to the country from abroad. Agency employees took measures to prevent such situations.
The agency’s press service reported that numerous meetings were held with subjects importing food products. The requirements of the legislation were brought to the attention of entrepreneurs. Companies that have repeatedly made similar mistakes have been issued warnings, administrative measures have been taken against them.
In addition, through an automated information system of food safety (AQTİS), notifications of the requirements for labeling of food products are sent to the personal offices of importing entities for each application and the official chain of premises on the prevention of the sale of goods without marking In the state language.
Despite the work done, during the control measures it was still revealed that individual entrepreneurship subjects were committed serious violations of the rules for translating etiquette information and names on food products into Azerbaijani language. This can lead to non -compliance with the rules for storing or using these products, and thus create a serious threat to human health.
Aqta once again addresses companies and reports that food products, information on the label and the name of which are not transferred to the Azerbaijani language, will continue to be allowed to the territory of Azerbaijan
