Armed Attack On Bus In Papua Nova Guinea Took Their Lives 7 People

As a result of an armed attack on a passenger bus in the Anga Province in Papua-New Guinea, at least 7 people were killed.

As the newspaper The Guardian writes, the armed faces opened random shooting at a moving bus in one of the mountainous regions of the Lagaip district.

Assistant Commissioner Josep Tondop said that 17 passengers are still considered missing. “It is still unclear whether these people are alive or wounded. Perhaps they took refuge in the bushes or in neighboring tribes,” he said, explaining that the goal of the attackers was revenge on one of the passengers.

Papua-New Guinea tribes are fighting each other for centuries. In interdepa -tribal conflicts, firearms, machete and grenades are used.

During the latest incidents, dozens of people were killed with the use of violence, houses, offices and other infrastructure facilities were destroyed.

In the province of England on February 19, 2024, two tribes arranged each other’s ambush, a shootout arose, as a result of which 53 people were killed.
