Armen Sargsyan’s resignation from the post of President Armenia Sargsyan will temporarily be temporarily replaced by Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alain Simonyan.
According to Article 144 of the Basic Law of Armenia, “in cases of deregistration, the impossibility of executing the powers, resignation or death of the President of the Republic before joining the position of the newly elected President of the Republic of the Republic of the Republic, the Chairman of the National Assembly.”
According to Article 142 of the Constitution of Armenia, “the President of the Republic applies to his resignation to the National Assembly. The resignation is considered to be accepted since its disclosure in the manner prescribed by law.”
Article 126 of the Constitution of Armenia states that “the extraordinary election of the President of the Republic is held no earlier than twenty-five and no later than thirty-five days after the opening of the vacancy for the position of President of the Republic.”
