“The plane provided to Armenian President in 2008-2017 was often exploited by high-ranking officials at the expense of public funds without official need for traveling to German Baden-Baden.” Such a statement was distributed by the Special Investigation Service of Armenia.
According to the report, flights were organized with violations and without a prior written request for the Administration of the President of Armenia.
Given the evidence of the abuse of the official position by the high-ranking officials of Armenia and on the basis of the materials a criminal case was initiated under Article 308 of the Criminal Code.
Previously, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia received a report on the crime, which is connected with the trip of the third President Serzh Sargsyan to Baden-Baden. In August, a deputy from the “Civil Agreement” Khachatur Sukiasyan, contacting corrupt phenomena at the previous authorities, also mentioned the name of the ex-President Serzh Sargsyan, stating that he lost $ 100 million in Baden-Baden casino.
