Armenia continues to pollute the Ohchchaya river passing through Azerbaijan, said in an interview with Trend, head of the National Hydrometeorology Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, Umair Tagiyev.
According to her, in 2021-2022, 58 monitoring were held in connection with the state of the river.
“Samples were taken from three different directions of the river. More than 150 water samples were taken and more than 180 samples of bottom sediments. Based on these samples, physico-chemical analysis was conducted. It turned out that the level of pollution of the river 5-7 times the norm. Unfortunately, its pollution continues today. The level of content in water heavy and other metals is currently 5-7 times more than the norm, “Tagiyev said.
