Delimitation and subsequent demarcation of the boundaries between Armenia and Azerbaijan should be carried out on the basis of the fundamental documents of the CIS, according to which the former administrative borders of the republics of the USSR became state borders, the speaker of the Alen Simonyan parliament at the Inters -Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS in Samarkand.
“We strive to establish relations on the basis of partnership in the region. We believe that the work on delimitation and subsequent demarcation of borders should be based on the fundamental documents of the CIS, according to which the former administrative boundaries of the Soviet republics have become state borders between already independent countries, including between Armenia and Azerbaijan, ”he said.
Simonyan added that “normalization of relations with neighboring countries is a priority task for Armenia.”
