Armenia: due to early elections will be canceled by martial law

Vice-Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, deputy from the ruling party “My step” Alain Simonyan announced the ambulance abolishing the military in the country on the eve of the early parliamentary elections, reports Interfax.

According to Armenian law, the elections cannot be organized in the conditions of military situation, and they will also need to be taken 30-45 days before the start of the vote dissolve the current parliament. “To the elections, naturally, we will remove the military regime,” said Simonyan.

He also added that despite the requirement of the opposition, the elections in the country will be held on a proportional system. Changes to the Electoral Code will not be entered. “The rating system must be eliminated,” the vice-speaker emphasized.
