The Minister of Economics of Armenia Vaan Karboyan calls for everything possible so that the Russians do not leave the country.
The minister’s words were an answer to the sentence of the State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin to increase taxes for those citizens of the Russian Federation who, including left the country after the events of February 24, reports the Armenian media.
Karboyan believes that these measures should be the least to influence the Russians.
“You know about our attitude towards living and working in Armenia to Russian citizens. We must do everything so that they remain in Armenia as long as possible,” he said.
At the same time, the deputy from the Civil Treaty faction Khachatur Sukiasyan invited the Armenian parliament to write a letter to Russian colleagues. He emphasized that Russian experts changed the situation in the Armenian IT block for the better.
Earlier, Volodin said that State Duma deputies are developing a draft law on the abolition of preferences for people who left Russia, including after the start of a special military operation. The speaker proposed to introduce an increased tax rate for them.
