Armenia is only country in world where most of population uses outdated Windows XP

It seemed that the era of Windows XP had already passed. According to StatCounter, now this operating system accounts for only 0.69% of the world market. However, there is a country where people do not want to leave Windows XP.

According to Microsoft calculations, 1.3 billion computers around the world are already working with Windows 10 and, thus, account for 78% of the market. The market share of Windows XP, specified by StatCounter, corresponds to about 12 million systems.

But in Armenia, the share of Windows XP is still huge. According to StatCounter experts, the old operating system is still used there by 53.5% of all active PCs, Ferra.ru passes. This is the only such country where most of the Windows XP has enjoyed most of the population.

A year ago, Windows 10 was almost at the same level with Windows XP in Armenia, but a little later, the proportion of XP increased significantly and exceeded the mark of 60%. In April 2021, it declined again, but now remains high.
