According to the report of the Polish Economic Institute, the war in Ukraine and its consequences threaten food security around the world and hunger in low income countries.
“Benin may experience the biggest difficulties. North Korea, Sudan, Nicaragua and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are following it. Further, Armenia, Egypt, Lebanon, Georgia and Rwanda are in danger. All these countries are inhabited by more than 300 million inhabitants” , – says the report.
Analysts of the Scientific Center note that to avoid a global food crisis, the actions of the international community are needed to unlock transport corridors leading through the Black Sea.
