Armenia will open three checkpoints on the border with Azerbaijan. This is stated in the project proposed by the country’s national security service.
On a single website, a draft government decision has appeared to publish legal acts. According to the proposed amendments, the number of points of passing the border by car will be increased.
In particular, it is proposed to open checkpoints on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. The project also indicates the Azerbaijani toponyms of settlements and areas in Karabakh: it will be the checkpoints “Ched” on the border with the Kelbadzharsky district, Araseyen – on the border with the Sadaraksky district and “Eyivs” – on the border with the Gubadlinsky district.
The justification of the project notes that the adoption of the project is due to the need to fulfill the instructions of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which he gave at a meeting of the government on August 4.
