Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) Raffi Ambaryan spoke with calls to the State Department to withdraw the US ambassador to Armenia Lynn Tracy, write Armenian media with reference to the organization’s website.
Speaking to partners in Congress, Ambararyan pointed to responsibility for the system-wide failures of the head of the American diplomatic mission in Yerevan.
“The stay of the Ambassador of Tracy in the US Embassy in Yerevan is marked by serious failures, which led to the system-wide collapse of our diplomatic mission,” says Ambararyan.
According to Ambararyan, Lynn Tracy failed to defend US humanitarian assistance to Karabakh, even though other vulnerable groups of the population in Burma, Ethiopia, Yemen and other places received emergency assistance for hundreds of millions of dollars.
“She could not organize work on the liberation of Armenian prisoners of war … was unable to resist the use of US military assistance to Azerbaijan … She also could not support trade relations between the United States and Armenia,” the American ambassador accuses.
Ambararyan called on the administration of Byyden to appoint a new ambassador to Yerevan and thereby restore relations between the United States and Armenia on a solid basis.
