Armenian farmers on trucks blocked the road Stepanavan-Wanadzor, writes Radio Liberty.
They complained that they left wheat in the field, since their cars, due to the lack of a certificate of checking gas cylinders, are refused to refuel.
Recall that according to the law from August 1, 2022, gas cylinders installed on Armenian cars will not be refueling if they are not installed or not certified by a licensed organization. Restrictions on the dates of the production of gas cylinders were also introduced.
Drivers complain about long lines at points of receipt of permits.
A little later, the protesters became aware that Prime Minister Pashinyan would pass along the road they blocked and agreed to unlock the track, provided that the latter would hold a meeting with them and solve the problem.
Pashinyan, on the spot, called the Minister of Territorial Administration and infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan and instructed to allow checking gas cylinders with an expired shelf life if they are fit for operation. He promised to take measures to increase the number of licensing points and create the possibility of booking the queue on the online platform.
