Wars in Karabakh could be avoided, said Armen Sargsyan in an interview with RBC.
“It seems to me that it was always possible to find ways to resolve such problems without hostilities,” said Sargsyan.
He recalled that after the first war, an organization was operating, dealing with the conflict settlement, we are talking about the OSCE Minsk Group. It provided a mechanism for communication, dialogue, etc.
“But if you look at our side, we are talking about our mistakes – we again believed in what they wanted. It seemed to us that the war was already completed, the question was already resolved. And he was not resolved,” says the president .
He believes that Armenia should have made certain steps – to strengthen the defense capability in Karabakh, create a more modern military infrastructure.
