Armenia has announced a reduction in the number of citizens of the country in recent years. Armenian media write that, according to the 2011 census, 3 million 18 thousand 900 people lived in the country, but the beginning of last year 2 million 964 thousand 600 people left.
The list of causes of a tangible reduction in the number of Armenia citizens includes a 44-day war, decline in the birth rate, increase in mortality, reducing the number of marriages and increasing divorces.
Armenian media did not forget to note that, according to the UN forecast by 2050, the population of Azerbaijan and Turkey will actively grow: Azerbaijanis will become more than one million, and the Turks – as much as fifteen.
