According to the recently published official data, last year Russia has taken over 46.9 thousand citizens of Armenia. This is a record figure for recent years, writes Armenian edition news.am.
According to the publication, in general, for the years 2017-2021, the Russian passport received almost 153.8 thousand citizens of Armenia. In relation to the number of permanent population of Armenia, it is about 5.2%.
The main reasons for emigration edition calls mass unemployment, or a low level of income that does not even provide a minimum standard of living, also tangible inflation (7.2% last year), and especially double-digit agro-inflation (11.2%).

It is noted that the geography of the emigration of citizens of Armenia is not limited to Russia. It is simply now the opportunity to get legal entitled to accommodation and legal work, there is much easier than in West countries.
