The National Security Service of Armenia refused to carry out a merchant and explosive technical examination in the case of the former Minister of Defense of Armenia David Tonoyan, report Armenian media with reference to the lawyer of the former head of the defense department of Sergei Ovanisyan.
According to the lawyer, the investigative body of Armenia is trying to in every way to avoid the examination, since the National Security Committee understands that if it is still spent, then the non-involvement of Tondan to buying poor-quality missiles will be proved.
It is reported that David Tondan also banned dates and telephone conversations, and restrictions apply to close relatives of the former minister.
Recall, on September 30, the court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan decided to arrest Tondan for a period of two months. For the ex-head of the defense department, a criminal case was initiated in connection with the abuse of official authority of high-ranking officials of the country’s Ministry of Defense when acquiring ammunition for the needs of Sun.
