The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan announced the detention of officials as part of an investigation of a criminal case instituted in the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General.
According to Haqqin.az in the department, the chairman of the municipality of the village of Sarai of the Apheronsky district of Maha Hasanov, as well as the heads of the Khachmaz and Gabalinsky territorial departments of the property of the property of Aydin Dzhafarov and Baga Masimov, as well as the head of the department of the Sumgait city municipality of Shihalsi are suspected bribes in exchange for the provision of an appropriate opinion to sell municipal lands.
On the eve of them, criminal cases were instituted under Article 308.2 of the Criminal Code of the AR (abuse of power, resulting in serious consequences). By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen in relation to them under Articles 311.3.1 (receiving a bribe by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), 311.3.2 (re -receipt of a bribe), 32.5, 311.3.1 (assistance in receiving a bribe) and 312.1 (giving bribes).
Currently, the investigation in the case continues.
