As Result Of Floods In Southeast Of Morocco, 11 People Were Killed

The number of killed as a result of a flood caused by the spillful rains in the southeastern part of Morocco increased to 11 people.

The representative of the Ministry of the Interior, Rashid El Khalefi, told the press about the situation. He noted that as a result of a strong storm and floods in the city of Tata, 7 people died, 2 people, as well as in Tata, Er-Rashidia and Tarudante, missed 9 people.

El Khalefi noted that the amount of precipitation over the past two days has amounted to about half of the annual norm for the region.

According to him, 24 houses were completely destroyed as a result of the flood, 16 were partially damaged, another 93 roads were damaged, transport communication was interrupted, and electric, water and telephone networks were damaged.
