Ashgabat celebrated anniversary of opening of Turkish Embassy

In Turkmenistan, a ceremony was held on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat.

The Togan Ambassador Ambassador to Turkish, Togan Oral, representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan, accredited in the Turkmen capital, diplomatic missions and media, took part in the ceremony.

A photo exhibition was organized as part of the event.

Speaking to the present, the Ambassador Oral recalled that the first in the history of bilateral relations Turkish Embassy was opened in Ashgabat on May 2, 1992.

The ambassador noted that the Turkish diplomatic service has 260 missions abroad and the fastest consular services.

According to him, from the point of view of gender equality in the Turkish diplomatic service, 79 women of the forms, 43% of women’s representative office work at the decision-making level. “The Turkish Foreign Ministry is one of the highest level diplomatic services,” the ambassador stated.

Oral added that the policy of “humanitarian diplomacy” implemented by Ankara is aimed at ensuring security, stability and prosperity in the regions closest to the country, as well as at the international level.

“being a country that provides the largest volume of humanitarian assistance in relation to its national income, our state provides assistance to the oppressed and in need, regardless of their origin, beliefs and differences. Turkey still accepts the most refugees in the world,” continued He.

The ambassador emphasized that Turkey seeks to create a zone of peace and prosperity in the context of ongoing conflicts and instability. According to him, these efforts include steps to stop the humanitarian catastrophe in Syria and the search for the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
