Assad is not interested in Washington

The United States does not consider the normalization of diplomatic relations with the government of the President of Syria Bashar Assad and dissatisfied when someone else does. The press secretary of the US State Department was made with such a statement, Alarabia News reports.

“US will not normalize or improve diplomatic relations with the Assad regime. At the same time, we do not welcome the contacts of other countries with a regime that makes atrocities against our own people,” the State Department statements say.

As the website The Jerusalem Post writes, this statement was made in response to the request of Reuters Comment on Jordan’s decision to fully open the main border crossings on the border between countries. In such a measure, the country’s authorities went to help the economy not only Syria, but also to Jordan herself, which is experiencing serious economic difficulties.

Israeli site “Details” reminds that on September 19, a meeting of the heads of military departments of Jordan and Syria, which discussed the safety issues of the border was held in Amman. The Minister of Defense of Syria Ali Abdalla Ayub met with the commander-in-chief of Jordan’s military officers, Yusef, Untii.

We note that the United States has suspended its diplomatic presence in Syria since 2012.
