Assistant to President of Russian Federation: Moscow and Ankara did not use half potential of cooperation

Moscow and Ankara have excellent prospects for the development of relations and interaction in the future, and the potential of cooperation is not exhausted even by half. This was the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin said in an interview with an anadol correspondent in the fields of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The politician recalled important projects and works that Russia and Turkey implement in many spheres. “Many areas are doing a lot of work. These spheres are known to everyone. We continue to work intensively in many areas, for example, such as atomic energy, mutual trade, and so on,” he said.

Oreshkin pointed out that many joint projects of the two countries are attracting attention and interest. “I can definitely say that we have not realized 50 percent of the possible potential of our cooperation,” said the assistant to the Russian president.

According to him, Russia is expected to continue the steps that should be taken by two countries. “There is still a lot to do to realize the opportunities that exist in the interaction of Russia and Turkey. We will try to do this,” Oreshkin assured.

He noted that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan showed political will in this regard, leaders hold extensive and frequent meetings, consult on all these issues.

“I also work in this direction with colleagues. There is a good potential for the future that has not yet been realized,” he added.
