Astana And Tashkent Are Firmly Committed To Further Deepening Of Strategic Partnership

President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev held an informal meeting with the Uzbek colleague Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Almaty.

Negotiations were held at the working residence of the head of the Kazakhstani state, reports on Saturday, March 29, the Akorda press service.

Tokaev expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the visit and noted that such informal meetings became a good tradition. “This is a very good opportunity to exchange opinions in a business atmosphere as to how we are working on a big business – the development of cooperation between fraternal, friendly states. We are allies and the situation in the entire Central Asian region will also develop,” said the President of Kazakhstan.

Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev praised Mirziyoyev’s personal contribution to the rapprochement of fraternal peoples and the promotion of the general goals of ensuring sustainable and safe development of the region.

“You are well aware of you in Kazakhstan, they treat you with great respect. Uzbekistan is developing dynamically under your strong, authoritative leadership. We know that last year the growth rate of the Uzbek economy exceeded 6%. All sectors of the economy have successfully achieved the declared goals,” said Tokaev.

The president emphasized that this cannot but rejoice, the more successfully the economy of Uzbekistan is developing, the better and better the trade and economic interaction between the two countries develops.

“I believe that we have a good opportunity to exchange opinions on a number of questions, – emphasized the head of the Kazakh state.

In turn, the President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of today’s meeting to strengthen bilateral ties. “I am very grateful that you are in the small homeland, in Almaty, you meet me as friendly as our two peoples are supposed. I am very grateful to you on behalf of myself, on behalf of the people. In fact, our relations have become completely different in recent years. We are allies.
