Astana Discussed Preliminary Results Of Chairmanship Of Kazakhstan In OTG

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and Secretary General of the Organization of the Turkic States (OTG) Kubanychbek Omuraliev discussed the preliminary results of the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the organization, which takes place under the motto “Turkic era!” (Turktime!).

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, during the meeting the parties also discussed the process of preparing for the next SGG summit in Kyrgyzstan.

The minister noted that Kazakhstan, as the initiator of the organization, attaches special importance to the further development and strengthening of Turkic integration. He also emphasized that the concept of the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in OTG is aimed at increasing the welfare of the Turkic peoples, determining new directions of development, strengthening fraternal bonds and ensuring stability in the region.

In turn, the Secretary General said that, as part of the chairmanship of Kazakhstan, more than 80 events were held in OTG in the OTG in 30 different fields of cooperation. The main event was the holding of 5 universal games of nomads in Astana. Omuraliev gave high assessment of the organization of games and noted that the wide representation of states in games indicates an increase in interest in the Turkic nomadic culture.

The parties also exchanged views on topical issues of Turkic cooperation, and also discussed the further development of cooperation between the member states of the organization.
