Astana discussed prospects for strengthening multifaceted Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership

Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev held the chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin, who was in Kazakhstan to participate in a meeting of the Council of Parliamentary Assembly.

According to the Akorda press service, during the meeting the prospects of strengthening the multifaceted Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership and allied were discussed. The interlocutors raised topical issues of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the prospects of Eurasian integration.

The President especially noted the important role of the legislative bodies in strengthening comprehensive cooperation between countries.

Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev called for the further development of inter-parliamentary ties in the framework of multilateral cooperation and expanding the entire complex of bilateral partnerships in the interests and the benefit of the fraternal peoples of Kazakhstan and Russia.
