In Astana, an exhibition of an ethnographer weapon, artist Kaliolla Akhmetzhan on the topic: “Armor of Kazakh Batyrs”, was opened in Astana.
The exhibition takes place at the National Museum of the Republic. The exposition includes various samples of weapons, equipment, combat hats and armor of the warriors of the Kazakh steppes, starting from the periods of the Saks and Huns until the 19th century.
In an interview with Anadol, Ahmetjan said that he is engaged in the study of traditional Kazakh weapons for 40 years.
According to the ethnographer, he wrote more than 120 articles on this topic. “The exhibits of the exhibition also included samples of weapons of such famous Kazakh batyrs as Bogenbai, Kabanbai and Zhankozh,” said the ethnographer.
The exhibition is open to visitors until June 12.
