The second astronaut of Turkey Tuva Jihangir Ataseever, who successfully completed his suborbital research flight, launched the flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan after space travel.
Ataseever from the VSS Unity suborbital ship, which was landing at the Spaceport cosmodrome in New Mexico.
“I want to show you our glorious flags that brought us here,” he said.
Ataseever noted that on his journey he did not represent himself personally, but two states, one of which is Turkey.
“In this mission, I flew for the sake of young people, the young generation can go even further and fly to the moon. I can only say one thing: please dream of more and surpass what I did,” he emphasized.
According to him, his mission is a scientific mission.
“It was an incredible journey and only the beginning of something much larger,” said Atasevert.
