Supreme representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrel, called on the EU countries to speed up the supply of weapons to Ukraine, calling this a matter of extreme importance and urgency, BBC reports.
Borrel also said that the EU is considering the possibility of uniform purchases of weapons for Ukraine and discussing ways to build the production capacities of the European defense industry.
The Boral statements were made following the results of the International Munich Security Conference last week.
“I urgently urge all of you to speed up the delivery of ammunition that you could provide from your stocks. The future of Ukraine has been put on the map,” says Borrel.
