at least 44 people died as a result of an attack on one of the mosques in the southwest of Niger. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Niger Muhamed Tumba on the air of state television.
According to him, the mosque in the village of Fonbit in the region of Cocoru was attacked on March 21, as a result of which at least 44 people were killed.
13 people were injured during the attack, four of whom are in serious condition. The attack was committed by organizations related to Deaash terrorists, ”the minister said.
Niger’s authorities declared a three -day nationwide mourning in the country.
