The session participants exchanged views on strategies and initiatives to form a society resistant to disinformation, building a more reliable ecosystem of online media on a global scale in order to eliminate the misinformation threat, disseminate misinformation depending on the types of media platforms, and the ways to ensure a more active media role in preventing the media misinformation.
On July 20, the opening ceremony of the Second Shushinsky Global Media Forum on the topic “Exposing false narratives: the fight against misinformation”.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took part in the forum and answered questions.
The forum is attended by more than 150 foreign guests from almost 50 countries, including representatives of information agencies of about 30 countries, 3 international organizations and 82 media -subjects.
The forum acts as a platform for discussions and develop joint actions of participants.
