German autoconecern Audi announced specific plans to abandon the production of cars with internal combustion engines. Since 2026, all new Audi models will be electric vehicles, the head of the concern Markus Duzmann on the climate conference in Berlin said. This reports Deutsche Vell.
It is expected that by 2025 in the Audi lineup there will be more than 20 models of electric vehicles. At the same time, the production of cars with internal combustion engines is supposed to gradually roll up by 2033. At the same time, due to high demand in China, such machines may continue to produce at local partner plants and after 2033, the head of Audi was allowed.
Plans to roll up the production of cars with internal combustion engines has previously announced a number of manufacturers. The Swedish company Volvo intends to do this by 2030, the American concern General Motors – C 2035. The manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz Daimler plans to fully switch to electric cars by 2039, and the other German concern Volkswagen – from 2040.
