NATO should provide not only weapons, but also integrated military assistance, including industrial initiatives, to ensure the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This statement was made by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at a meeting of the heads of the defense department of the Alliance in Brussels.
“Our goal is not only to transfer the equipment, but also to ensure military capabilities for a long time. Today we will continue to talk about the integration and synchronization of our support so that Ukraine has funds necessary for conducting combat actions. We will discuss industrial initiatives that will help to support our assistance to Ukraine in the long run, ”Austin said.
He also said that 8 countries were included in the coalition for the supply of Leopard tanks to Ukraine: Germany, Denmark, Spain, Canada, Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Portugal.
