In Georgia, the construction of the Tbilisi Sagarezho highway, which will connect the Georgian capital with the Kakhetian municipality, reports the Ministry of Energy Development of the country.
The Tbilisi-Sagarezho section is part of the transit corridor leading to the North-West region of Azerbaijan. In this area, the intensity of transport flows increases significantly, and the existing road passes through the densely populated villages and cities: Vasiani, Sartee, Ninocminda and Sagarezho.
“Construction of a new road will significantly increase the safety of the movement and will reduce the time on the way,” the department says.
According to the Ministry, a four-band-haired asphalt concrete road with a length of 31.5 kilometers will be built on the Tbilisi-Sagarezho plot.
The project will be financed from the state budget of Georgia. Road design work was carried out by highly qualified Australian and American companies with the financial support of the World Bank.
