Austrians will return money that inflation ate

The Austrian government allocates a package of assistance in the size of more than € 28 billion in order to compensate the population of increased costs due to rising prices against the background of high inflation. This was announced on Tuesday by Austria Chancellor Karl Nekammer.

“We decided to return the money that inflation from them. We managed to create a package with a volume of more than € 28 billion to unload people’s load,” Nekhammer announced at a press conference in Vienna.

The Chancellor added that the assistance package should soften the burden that the population has encountered due to rise in price in all sectors of the economy as a result of inflation growth.

According to him, pensioners will receive from € 500 to € 1 thousand, taxpayers will receive the same amount for compensation for increased costs, families with children will receive up to € 900 per child, the poor will be assisted in the size of € 800.
