The arrest was removed from several real estate objects belonging to the family members of the former head of the Main Investigative Department of the abolished Ministry of National Security Movlam Shikhaliev.

Apartment No. 37 in building No. 96 on Nizami Street in the Sabail district of the capital, owned by Elgun Shikhaliev;
Real estate in the village of Lazis Ismaillinsky District, owned by Elgun Shikhaliev;
The total value of the property exempted from arrest is approximately 2 million manat.
According to the decision of the Baku Military Court, M. Shikhaliev was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Also by the verdict of the court, the deputy head of the Investigative Department, the head of the 1st department Yasin Mammadov received 10 years 6 months, the head of the 2nd department of the investigative department, Colonel Vusal Alekperov -12 years 6 months, and the deputy head of the department of methodological assistance and criminalization of the investigative department Sahib Alekperov – 8 years of prison term. All of them were arrested in the courtroom. Also, in court it was decided to confiscate property in the name of Shikhaliev and members of his family. The property on which the arrest is imposed will be confiscated in favor of the state. By the verdict of the court, Movlam Shikhaliev was also deprived of the title of Major General.
