AZAL introduces Amadeus income management system

Closed Joint-Stock Company “Azerbaijan Airlines” (AZAL) As part of its corporate policy on the implementation of the most recent digital solutions, has passed onto a new operations and profit optimization system – Amadeus SRM (Amadeus Segment Revenue Management).

In the press service of CJSC Haqqin.az said that Azal, despite the unstable situation at the passenger carrier aircraft due to the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to develop a strategic partnership with Amadeus, which began in 2019.

So, the latest innovation was a successful airline transition to Amadeus’s income management solution – SRM. The new solution will allow “Azerbaijan Airlines” to evaluate and optimize the yield on the entire route network of the airline.

Amadeus SRM income management system will provide accurate forecasting of future demand, as well as an understanding of the nature of the cancellation or non-appearance of passengers a year before the trip. In order to maintain profitable airline’s activities, this decision will ensure reliability, clarity and accuracy of forecasts, as well as operational adaptation to changing economic conditions.

Simply put, income management can be described as a profitability science. Even in normal operation, income management is an essential tool that allows airlines to manage one of its most important assets – reserve places and profitability. Amadeus SRM offers a dynamic solution with real-time optimization, which has become necessary to create a more efficient and profitable network.
