The new level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and the development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek ties was again demonstrated as part of the participation of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev at the SCO summit in Samarkand.
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, amid the activation of political and economic ties, also continue to actively work to expand the geography of flights between countries.
So, since the beginning of October, the Azal National air carrier Azal plans to operate flights to another city of Uzbekistan – Samarkand. Flights to Samarkand – one of the oldest cities in the world – will be carried out twice a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Also, Azerbaijani Airlines will increase the frequency of flights operated along the Baku-Tashkent-Baku route to 5 times a week.
Currently, regular flights between the two capitals are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and soon they will also be executed on Thursdays and Sundays.
Airbips sales are expected in the near future on the official website of the airline – www.azal.az. Flights to these and other Azal flights can also be purchased at accredited air carrier agencies.
Passengers corresponding to the designated transportation conditions and who are allowed to fly in the conditions of existing epidemiological restrictions will be accepted for transportation on these flights.
