On Tuesday, April 26, the Azal Azerbaijani Airlines President Jahangira Askurov with the Governor of the Astrakhan Region of Russia Igor Grandmoskin was held at the AZAL office.
The main topic of the meeting was the discussion by the parties to the prospects for the development of mutual cooperation in the field of civil aviation and the adoption of joint steps as part of a further increase in the transport accessibility of countries.
Azal President Jahangir Askurov, in an interview with the governor, noted that in the field of development of civilian airlines Azerbaijani Airlines always maintain close partnerships with other airlines.
According to him, the air service between the two countries – Azerbaijan and Russia – plays an important role in the development of economic cooperation, expanding tourism potential, as well as deepening business relations between business circles of the two countries.
Governor Igor Grandmother confirmed that negotiations held in Baku will serve as an impulse for the further development of cooperation.
He also noted the interest in the resumption of flights between Astrakhan and Baku. This, according to the governor, will give the impulse of the activation of trade, economic, investment cooperation, as well as strengthening tourist relations of the two countries.
According to him, as part of the development of the air offense between the countries, the Russian Azimuth Airline is ready to operate regular flights from Astrakhan to Baku and back with a frequency of up to four times a week.
following the results of the meeting, an agreement was reached on building interaction on the development of partnership and joint study of various issues in the field of civilian air transportation.
