In Azerbaijan in 2022, seven suspects in relations with foreign special services were detained with the aim of anti-azerbaijani reconnaissance and subsidiary activities.
This was stated by the head of the State Border Service (GPS) of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Elchin Guliev at a reporting meeting dedicated to the results of service and combat activities in 2022.
During the reporting period, within the framework of the fight against terrorism, 6 participants in armed conflicts were detained and 11 people were identified, 20 organized criminal groups (organized crime groups) who engaged in illegal trafficking of drugs, 7 organized criminal groups engaged in smuggling, and 32 were neutralized.
