Azerbaijan acquired an Italian military transport aircraft “C-27J Spartan”.
According to the statement of the President of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev at the Heydar Aliyev Baku International Airport examined the C-27J Spartan plane of the Italian company Leonardo.
President Aliyev was accompanied by the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov, Italy Minister Gvido Crosetto, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Edmondo Chirielli and Leonardo leaders.
Aliyev was informed about the technical characteristics and operation of the acquired aircraft.
According to this message, a plane capable of performing the tasks of both defense and civilian nature in difficult geographical conditions and operational conditions will be used for military transportation, air landing of paratroopers and goods, as well as medical missions.
