Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Suspend flights from Baku to a series of Russian cities due to the results of a preliminary investigation of the crash of the Embraer 190 aircraft and possible risks for flight safety, the airline reports.
from December 28, 2024, until the final investigation is completed, flights are suspended in the following airports in Russia: Mineral Water, Sochi, Volgograd, Ufa, Samara, Grozny and Makhachkala.
The company also said that on December 25, a similar step was adopted to suspend flights to Grozny and Makhachkala.
In connection with security, flights of other airlines are also suspended to these areas. Passengers with tickets for suspended flights can get a full return or replace tickets without additional payment, added in the company.
The message notes that despite the suspension of flights to these cities, Azal will continue to operate flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan, Kazan and Novosibirsk, observing all safety requirements.
